Remember those blueberries? Well, that was only the beginning. On Saturday we visited the source, Filigreen Farm, a truly beautiful example of biodynamic agriculture as envisioned by our friends Chris and Stephanie. We came home with fifty pounds of blueberries and heads full of new ideas.
I'm not sure what else to say about this visit. I don't think I'll say much at all, except that there was a moment, standing in the middle of an intersection of garden beds, when I experienced an intense sensation of flowering in my chest. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed by all that's wrong with industrial agriculture and I lack hope that we'll ever find a way through this mess to something that is not only lesser-evil but truly revolutionary. Well, this is truly revolutionary, what Chris and Stephanie have created in Anderson Valley. It's an honor to witness it.
Enjoy the photos and have a wonderful week!
